The Call of Atlantis game had just been released to fill this void, and through this review, we'll get to see how this latest game fares well against its predecessors and against its many competitors as well.

The story of the game starts after the creation of Atlantis, a prosperous and peaceful city made from the powers of the god, Poseidon. Many years have passed since Atlantis was created, and with the passage of time, memories of their heritage faded and they soon forgot to worship their creator. Angered by his people, Poseidon then punished them by bringing endless calamities to their lands and sealed his altar which was designed to keep Atlantis safe from strife. Atlantis is doomed to suffer until the chosen one arrives, who will bring the seven crystals back to Poseidon's altar and bring peace to their lands once again.

The gameplay of Call of Atlantis is divided into two parts with one involving a match-3 game and another one which involves hidden object finding. The match-3 part employs traditional tile swapping as you try to rebuild broken artifacts by driving their parts to the bottom of the board. You must collect all of the artifact parts before time runs out, or else, you'll have your life points decreased by one heart each time you fail.

Just like any match-3 game, you can also collect several power-ups to help you out in your quest. Power-ups include bombs, lightning and additional time you can use whenever you find yourself stuck in a pinch. Matching four or more tiles can also activate Poseidon's amulet of power, which can take out multiple random tiles whenever you get a chance to use it. All in all helping you out against the many obstacles set in the game, including chained tiles, frozen tiles and unbreakable blocks that continuously resist your progress.
