The first release of Shin Megami Tensei was more than 10 years ago. Persona 4 for Playstation 2 is the latest addition to the Shin Megami Tensei series of games, and has been regarded very highly by different players and critics.
What makes Shin Megami Tensei as a video game is that it doesn't only entertain you, but also makes you think and improve your managerial and leadership skills. I'm not kidding, a lot of people don't understand that there is more to playing video games than it looks because they think people only sit in front of a Playstation or an Xbox, and get hypnotized by the game.
These people don't realize that video games, especially role-playing games like Shin Megami Tensei require a lot of strategy and thinking to be able to move on to the game and the story. A lot of users are finding the game very challenging, with lots of interesting characters you would love to know in real life like Steven, the wheelchair-bound programmer who was loosely based on physicist Stephen Hawking.
Atlus managed to take the game up levels compared to its predecessors, an amazing stint that makes the game superb. With a relatable cast, and a challenging plot, great visuals and controls, it's not surprising that Shin Megami Tensei was and still is a lot of people's top favorite video game to play.
